Released in 1983 on Atlantic Records, Zebra is the debut studio album from the New Orleans-based hard rock trio of the same name. Drawing comparisons to progressive rock giants like Yes and Led Zeppelin, as well as fellow power trios Rush and Triumph, Zebra arrived fully formed and immediately staked their claim in the hard rock landscape of the early '80s.
The album showcases the band's knack for melodic hard rock, blending powerful lead guitars with polished production and keyboard textures that add depth to their driving sound. Vocalist and guitarist Randy Jackson's soaring falsetto is a standout element, anchoring captivating hooks and refrains that make this debut as memorable as it is musically ambitious.
