Now, the 16th installment in the band's acclaimed live multi-track series, Athens 1998, captures that legendary performance in full, featuring a fresh mix by John Keane that brings every electrifying moment of this historic show to life.
Spanning three hours and 25 tracks across this 5 LP box set, Athens 1998 is a vivid document of Widespread Panic at their feral, prime-of-life best — a band firing on all cylinders before an enormous, passionate crowd. Released more than two decades after the show and following the deaths of co-founding members guitarist Mikey Houser and drummer Todd Nance, this recording serves as both a joyful celebration and a deeply meaningful tribute to the band's enduring legacy.
