Warwick's voice, still outstanding two decades after her first hit, is what lifts these tracks above the pedestrian.
The first cut, a version of Carole Bayer Sager's "That's What Friends Are For" was recorded with Elton John, Gladys Knight, and Stevie Wonder as the music industry's first high-profile AIDS benefit single. It's the album's best-known track, along with the hit "I'll Never Love This Way Again."
