Zombi 3 (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) is the infectious, synth-driven score composed by Stefano Mainetti for Lucio Fulci and Bruno Mattei's 1988 Italian horror cult classic. Mainetti, an underrated talent in the world of genre cinema, brought a visceral energy to this beloved piece of exploitation filmmaking that has earned the film a devoted following among fans of Italian b-horror.
The score blends pulsating electronic rhythms with cinematic tension in a way that perfectly captures the gritty, over-the-top spirit of its era. Mainetti's broader catalog spans work with exploitation legends like Joe D'Amato and Bruno Mattei as well as mainstream Hollywood directors, demonstrating a versatile composer whose craft shines especially bright in the realm of horror and genre film music.
