Sam Smith's Hazel Eyes marks a significant artistic milestone — widely regarded as their most accomplished album to date. Released in 2026 on Capitol Records, this fifth studio album sees Smith returning to the intimate, heartfelt textures of their earlier work while approaching familiar territory with a newly exploratory spirit and a noticeably more organic, refined production sensibility.
Drawing from jazz, blues, and soul influences, Hazel Eyes is a collection of sophisticated, romantic songs that showcases Smith at their most musically adventurous. Subtle touches — like country guitar woven through certain tracks and a collaboration with celebrated Canadian singer-songwriter Feist — add unexpected depth and emotional richness, making this a rewarding listen that rewards close attention from start to finish.
