Roger Clark Miller — perhaps best known as a founding member of the influential post-punk band Mission of Burma — steps into deeply personal territory with The Green Man, released in 2026 on Don Giovanni Records. The album marks a return to more traditional songwriting, blending rock and experimental sensibilities in a way that feels both intimate and expansive.
As a solo artist, Miller places his lyrics front and center, backed by his distinctively inventive guitar work. Minimal looping techniques create the impression of a fuller ensemble, giving him the freedom to explore his instrument with the kind of idiosyncratic fluency he has developed across decades of pushing rock's boundaries. The result is a focused, compelling collection that stands as a meaningful chapter in an already remarkable catalog.
