Rodrigo y Gabriela's seventh studio album, Our Home, marks a compelling return to the acoustic guitar work that first defined the Mexico City-raised duo's sound. Recorded at NK Sound Tokyo and self-produced by the pair, the album weaves Latin rhythms together with Japanese musical influences, resulting in a richly textured and often strikingly delicate collection of instrumental compositions.
One of the album's most notable moments is "Somos Como Tú," a historic first in the Rodrigo y Gabriela catalog — a track featuring vocals from both Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero. The album also benefits from a remarkable roster of guest musicians, including former Megadeth guitarist Marty Friedman and acclaimed Japanese jazz pianist Hiromi, whose contributions give Our Home an otherworldly depth and range that sets it apart as one of the duo's most adventurous and emotionally resonant works to date.
