Released in 2026 on their own Prawn Song label, A Handful of Nuggs marks an exciting return for Primus — the enduringly original trio led by the inimitable Les Claypool. Known for decades of genre-bending, bass-forward rock that defies easy categorization, Primus continues to prove that their brand of musical weirdness is truly ageless, earning the EP warm praise from longtime fans and curious newcomers alike.
The release showcases Primus firing on all cylinders, with thumping, funk-driven bass lines, explosive drumming, and the kind of intricate fretwork the band has always been celebrated for. New material sits comfortably alongside fan favorites, demonstrating that Claypool and company haven't lost a step — delivering the unmistakably quirky, technically dazzling sound that has made Primus one of rock's most singular acts for over three decades.
