Aeolyca is a collaborative exploration by Italian electronic artists Pier Luigi Andreoni and Francesco Paladino, blending innovative synthesizer work with the organic resonance of aeolian sculptures. Recorded in 1988 at Tuxedo Studio and inspired by Mario Ciccioli’s wind-driven sound sculptures presented at the “Time Zones” festival, this album offers an immersive encounter between experimental electronics and atmospheric natural textures.
Utilizing the Roland S 50, Yamaha tX 81 Z, and field recordings of wind-activated sculptures, the duo crafts a soundscape where art and environment converge. The result is a distinct, meditative listening experience that stands out for its unique integration of plastic art and electronic music, making Aeolyca a standout release for connoisseurs of experimental and ambient sounds.
