Released in 2015 on Epitaph Records, Ire stands as one of Parkway Drive's most ambitious and critically acclaimed records. The Australian metalcore outfit pushed beyond the boundaries they had set with their previous work, delivering an album that earned a 9 out of 10 from Distorted Sound, which praised the band for "continuously breaking boundaries." Driven by frontman Winston McCall's raw frustration with the state of humanity, the album's title captures exactly the emotion it was designed to evoke.
This 2LP pressing of Ire is a visually striking package that matches the weight of the music inside, housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves, one of which includes the full lyrics. A standout detail for collectors and fans alike is Side D, which features an etching of the front cover design — a thoughtful finishing touch that reflects the care put into this release. It's a worthy addition to any shelf for fans of heavy music.
