Ghosted brings together the creative forces of Oren Ambarchi, Johan Berthling, Andreas Werliin, and Christer Bothén for a mesmerizing exploration of jazz, rhythm, and experimental sound. Recorded in November 2018 and released by Drag City in 2022, the album showcases the trio’s fascination with deep grooves and subtle, continuous transformations within each track.
Berthling’s dub-infused basslines, Ambarchi’s processed guitar—sometimes almost violin-like—and Werliin’s fluid, hypnotic drumming create a nuanced interplay that draws listeners into an immersive sonic landscape. With its blend of jazz, alternative, and experimental music, Ghosted offers a uniquely atmospheric journey that rewards attentive, repeated listening and stands out as a compelling addition for fans of innovative, boundary-pushing jazz.
