Toronto-based composer Nick Storring brings his ninth full-length recording to life with Mirante, a richly layered work that draws from an extraordinary palette of more than 40 instruments — including Fender Rhodes, clavinet, glockenspiel, singing bowl, talkbox, and bar chimes, among many others. Produced alongside Jordan Cunningham and mixed by Spencer Templeman, the album was mastered by Rachel Field at Resonant Mastering in Seattle, resulting in a meticulously crafted sonic experience.
Mirante is described as an intricate, immersive listen — like "gears turning within a watch" — where each track holds its own while contributing to a cohesive and compelling whole. Storring demonstrates a rare skill in weaving together rhythmic foundations with dense, percolating melodic figures, creating a vision that feels both uncommonly rich and deeply intentional from start to finish.
