Recorded by the legendary Rudy Van Gelder in Hackensack, NJ, the album showcases Davis leading an exceptional ensemble featuring Red Garland on piano, Oscar Pettiford on bass, and Philly Joe Jones on drums.

This reissue brings The Musings of Miles back to life as part of the celebrated Original Jazz Classics series, featuring all-analog mastering from the original tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio.
