Metallica's Load arrived in 1996 as a bold and deliberately provocative departure, showcasing a looser, blues-influenced hard rock sound that divided fans while proving the band's willingness to evolve beyond their thrash metal roots. The album features some of Metallica's most enduring tracks, including "Until It Sleeps," "Hero of the Day," and "King Nothing," and this remastered edition also presents, for the first time ever, the original extended version of "The Outlaw Torn" — previously edited due to manufacturing limitations.

This deluxe box set is a deeply comprehensive revisit of the Load era, packed with hundreds of tracks — the vast majority previously unreleased — including live performances, rough mixes, and demos that offer an unprecedented look inside one of rock's most iconic bands at a pivotal moment in their career. Rounding out the package are a "Mama Said" picture disc, tour laminates, a Pushead patch, Rorschach test cards, guitar and bass picks, and a stunning 128-page hardcover book filled with never-before-seen photos and firsthand stories from those who were there.
