Melvins Lite – Freak Puke finally gets its first wide vinyl release, bringing the band’s genre-warping 2012 album to a broader audience. Originally released on June 5, 2012, Freak Puke marked a bold reinvention of the Melvins’ sound—recorded under the Melvins Lite moniker, this was the first album to feature Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantômas) on standup bass, alongside core members Buzz Osborne and Dale Crover.
Stripped-down but no less heavy, Freak Puke is a left-field journey through sludge, jazz-inflected grooves, and off-kilter rock experimentation. This pressing delivers the album in full analog glory for the first time outside of limited editions.
