Guitar marks Mac DeMarco’s first full-length studio album since 2019’s Here Comes The Cowboy, offering a stripped-down and deeply personal snapshot of his current creative state. Following the expansive 199-track One Wayne G and the instrumental travelogue Five Easy Hot Dogs, this 12-track collection was written, performed, and recorded entirely by Mac over 12 days in November 2024 at his home studio in Los Angeles.

“I think Guitar is as close to a true representation of where I’m at in my life today as I can manage to put to paper,” Mac says of the album, which blends introspection with his signature lo-fi charm.
