You Wanted The Best, You Got The Best!! is a 1996 Kiss release that celebrates the band's original lineup of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Ace Frehley, and Peter Criss, who reunited that year. It draws on the raw live energy of Alive! and Alive II, and adds previously unreleased live recordings. It works as a companion to those landmark concert albums.
The album focuses on the classic quartet and the arena-ready swagger that made Kiss a phenomenon. Big riffs, anthemic choruses, and crowd-fueled intensity run through the set, from hard-driving rockers to the band's best-known singalongs. It also includes a band interview with Jay Leno, which adds a playful behind-the-scenes touch for longtime fans and newcomers alike.
