O My Beloved is the tenth studio album from Kings Of Leon and the first they have produced entirely on their own. The four-time Grammy-winning family band draws on its own history here, and Caleb Followill has described the record as "emotional."
The songs feel personal, like a bundle of letters passed between the Followills, with listeners invited to read over their shoulders. The band trades some of the euphoric rush of its biggest hits for relaxed introspection, though moments of anthemic swagger still surface in the tube-amp guitar twang of "Cold Blue Dawn" and "Make It Count."
