King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard continues to push the boundaries of rock music with Skull X-Ray, a release that draws conceptual inspiration from the haunting history of Soviet-era "bone music" — clandestine recordings pressed onto discarded medical x-rays. Part of the band's officially sanctioned Bootlegger Series through Having Fun Records, this album reflects the group's ongoing commitment to adventurous, boundary-defying projects that sit at the intersection of music and cultural history.
Known for their relentless creativity and genre-spanning catalog, King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard bring a dark and evocative energy to Skull X-Ray, channeling the underground spirit of forbidden music into something entirely their own. For fans of the band's more experimental and conceptually driven work, this release stands as another compelling chapter in one of rock's most prolific and fearless discographies.
