Now, Propeller Sound Recordings presents Hammer + Echo, a 2025 remastered and expanded edition that pairs the original EP with a newly compiled "Echo" side of lost recordings.
This expanded reissue is the product of a remarkable preservation effort — the original Hammer EP tapes were saved by Susan Farrell of the old Texas Hotel label, then carefully restored through tape baking and digital transfers by David Ollard at Thin Brown Line in Long Beach, CA. The release comes with liner notes by Tom Cheek and rare archival material, making it a thorough and lovingly assembled document of a pivotal moment in Southern alternative rock history.
