Main Offender is Keith Richards' third solo album, following Talk Is Cheap and Live at the Hollywood Palladium, and it arrived in 1992 as a raw, riff-driven statement from the Rolling Stones guitarist. Recorded with his band the X-Pensive Winos and produced alongside drummer Steve Jordan, it captures a loose, gritty energy that feels very much like a band playing together in a room.
The songs lean into the blues, rock and roll, and soul that have always shaped Richards' playing, with his signature open-tuned guitar work front and center. His weathered, characterful vocals and a knack for a good groove give the record a lived-in charm, making it a rewarding listen for Stones fans and anyone who loves honest, no-frills rock.
