Good To Be... is Keb' Mo's 2022 release on Rounder Records, a warm and personal record that blends blues, rock, and pop. It was written partly in Nashville and partly in the Compton house where he grew up, so it ties his past to his present across more than forty years of musical evolution.
The album brings in a wide circle of collaborators, including country legend Vince Gill and producer Tom Hambridge, along with bass players such as Nathan East, Marcus Miller, and Victor Wooten. Keb' Mo's easygoing vocals, tasteful guitar work, and gift for heartfelt songwriting hold it together, and the result is an inviting, uplifting listen.
