Wounded Indians stands as the final recorded work of John Trudell, the celebrated American Indian activist, poet, and spoken word artist, before his passing in December 2015. Produced by Jackson Browne and recorded alongside Trudell's longtime Bad Dog bandmates — including Mark Shark, Ricky Eckstein, Gary Ray, Debra Dobkin, and Quiltman — the album captures some of the most intimate, raw, and heartfelt performances of his career.
This release is a truly special document, featuring guest appearances by Jackson Browne, Cody Blackbird, Jorge Calderón, Wally Ingram, the Ulali Project, and the late Jesse Ed Davis. Limited to just 600 copies in the U.S., this vinyl edition from Inside Recordings is a rare and meaningful piece for collectors and fans alike, dedicated in full to the Trudell Tribe.
