Released in 2023, In Electric Time is a vibrant and imaginative album from Chicago-based artist Jeremiah Chiu, a devoted synthesizer enthusiast whose passion for vintage and classic electronic instruments shines through every track. The record captures the spirit of a musician let loose in a world of beloved synths, resulting in a collection that feels both exploratory and deeply personal.
The music on In Electric Time moves fluidly between airy ambient textures and more fully composed pieces, with bright, bubbly, and luminous sounds that evoke imagery as vivid as sunshine on ocean waves. Chiu's playful yet thoughtful approach to synthesis gives the album a warm and energetic character, making it a captivating listen for fans of electronic music who appreciate both technical craft and genuine emotion.
