Jake Shimabukuro Trio unites three outstanding musicians—Jake Shimabukuro, Nolan Verner, and Dave Preston—for a bold and dynamic journey through rock and blues. Known as the first genuine rock star of the ukulele, Shimabukuro brings his virtuosic mastery and inventive style, expanding the boundaries of the instrument alongside Verner’s resonant bass and Preston’s expressive guitar work. The seamless interplay among the trio results in a vivid soundscape that is both expansive and intimate.
This album captures the energy of spontaneous creative chemistry, with much of its music emerging from in-the-moment improvisation rooted in their tight musical bond. The focused lineup enables expansive arrangements, layering dynamic performances into tracks that range from electric, high-octane flights to deeply atmospheric moods. Jake Shimabukuro Trio stands as a testament to artistic evolution and musical connection, making it a standout moment in each artist's career.
