Hard Meat was a British heavy-progressive and hard-psychedelic trio consisting of brothers Mick Dolan (guitars, vocals) and Steve Dolan (bass, vocals), alongside drummer Mick Carless. Recorded in 1969 and originally intended for release on Island Records, Rain captures the raw, powerful energy of the UK's late-60s underground rock scene.

Rain is a compelling snapshot of a band that was ahead of its time, blending hard rock intensity with psychedelic and progressive elements. The album features nine tracks, including the band's interpretation of Bob Dylan's "Most Likely You'll Go Your Way, I'll Go Mine" alongside original compositions that showcase the trio's dynamic range and musicianship.
