- Gabriel grew up in rural Brazil with a radio disc jockey dad and poet mom. He was in a punk rock band (imagine The Strokes, but from Brazil) who played huge venues and were signed to Universal Music.
- Gabriel got burned by the industry and traveled around the world before landing in LA and bonding with Peanut Butter Wolf over their shared love of Brazilian music, after which he started writing more traditional-inspired music.
- His new record was made in collaboration with Pedro Dom (Rodrigo Amarante, Seu Jorge), and Mario C (the Beastie Boys' producer) mixed it.
