Formed by "Fast" Eddie Clarke, the legendary guitarist from Motörhead, and Pete Way of UFO fame, Fastway burst onto the hard rock scene with their self-titled debut in 1983. Fastway captured the raw, high-energy spirit both founding members were known for, blending powerful guitar riffs with infectious melodic hooks that quickly won over rock fans on both sides of the Atlantic.
The album showcases Clarke's signature guitar work at its finest, with tracks like "Say What You Will" and "Easy Livin'" becoming fan favorites that cemented Fastway's reputation as a force in early '80s hard rock. Though the band would go on to release more records, this debut remains a cornerstone of their catalog — a straightforward, no-frills rock record with plenty of punch and staying power.
