Originally released in 1993, Echomania stands as one of Dub Syndicate's most celebrated works, showcasing the group at the peak of their creative power. Anchored by the thunderous rhythm section of drummer "Style" Scott and bassist "Flabba" Holt — both foundational members of the legendary Roots Radics — the album is shaped and sculpted by the visionary production of Adrian Sherwood at the controls of On-U Sound.
The album is elevated further by an impressive roster of guest contributors, including the iconic Lee "Scratch" Perry, hip-hop pioneer Michael Franti (of Beatnigs and Disposable Heroes of Hiphoprisy), and tabla virtuoso Talvin Singh. Out of print on vinyl for many years, this new edition has been re-cut by Frank Merritt at The Carvery and includes an inner sleeve featuring rare photography by Coneyl Jay alongside new liner notes by Rob Harris of Test Pressing — making it a welcome return for one of dub's most enduring records.
