Hydro Doorways is a release from Drexciya, the enigmatic Detroit electro duo whose underwater mythology and cryptic, anonymous approach made them one of techno's most influential and mysterious acts. Issued through Tresor, the album sits within the group's celebrated catalog as a lesser-discussed gem that rewards close listening.
The music blends twisting acid lines, deep sub-bass, and sub-nautical flourishes with a sense of buoyant, joyful energy. Drexciya's craft shines in the way each track conjures a sci-fi world beneath the waves, from driving electro to experimental, atmospheric moments that pull you further into their aquatic universe.
