Swedish indie pop group Dina Ögon deliver a richly layered sophomore effort with Oas, released in 2023 and awarded a Grammy for its outstanding achievement. Building on the promise of their debut, the band has crafted a more assured and cohesive listen, drawing from an eclectic palette that spans soul, jazz, bossa nova, hip-hop, and R&B into something entirely their own.
What sets Oas apart is the seamless balance between organic musicianship and sophisticated arrangements, with lush production that feels both vibrant and intimate. Delicate strings, warm vocals from Anna Ahnlund, and carefully considered instrumentation create a series of vivid, colorful soundscapes that unfold effortlessly from track to track — the work of a band fully in command of their craft.
