The final album released by the Dickies before their (temporary, as it turned out) 1983 breakup is a brief but rocking set that drops the punk affectations almost entirely, revealing the L.A. combo's power pop roots. The Quick's Steven Hofsteder was the band's second guitarist by this point, and his old band's career high point, "Pretty Please Me," is revived here. The opening "Rosemary" and the title track are every bit as tuneful and catchy, while the band's goofball humor comes across in the cheerful massacre of Led Zeppelin's "Communication Breakdown."
