Veteran electronic artist Curd Duca returns with Waves 2, the second installment in his ambitious Waves trilogy, released on the Magazine label in 2021. Following his long-awaited comeback with Waves 1 — his first album in nearly two decades — Duca continues his methodical and often playful exploration of sound and texture, weaving together church bells, percussion, musical samples, and field recordings into a richly detailed sonic tapestry.
Waves 2 showcases Duca's distinctive approach to electronic composition, drawing on unconventional tuning systems and a wide palette of acoustic and synthetic sources across an expansive 32-track journey. The album includes a 12" insert and is housed in a slipcase designed to hold all three records of the trilogy together, making it a natural companion piece for fans who began the collection with Waves 1.
