Cornelia Murr’s newest album, Run To The Center, began with a question: What do I want? The answer—everything—has never felt more urgent. Set for release on February 28, 2025, via 22TWENTY, this marks Murr’s most expansive and confident work yet. Across 10 hypnotic pop tracks, she navigates desire, uncertainty, and the challenge of fitting everything one wants into a single life.
This is Murr’s first full-length release since her 2018 debut, Lake Tear of the Clouds, produced by Jim James of My Morning Jacket, and follows her 2022 EP Corridor. Long delayed by external forces, Run To The Center finally took shape in 2023 with producer Luke Temple (Adrienne Lenker, Hand Habits). A longtime friend, Temple helped Murr craft an album that blends spectral pop with lush, expansive production—layered with muscular drums and buoyant synths.
The songs on Run To The Center reflect both new creative sparks and ideas that had been waiting for the right moment. Written largely while restoring an old house in Red Cloud, Nebraska, Murr found unexpected clarity in solitude. The result is an album that embraces life’s uncertainties with beauty, humor, and an undeniable sense of self.
