Chris & Carla are the acoustic folk duo formed by Chris Eckman and Carla Torgerson, both singer-songwriters best known as core members of the Seattle folk-punk outfit The Walkabouts. Stepping away from the full band format, the duo crafted an intimate, folk-driven sound that stands as some of the most quietly compelling music to emerge from that scene. Velvet Fog: The Studio Recordings, released on Glitterhouse Records in 2020, brings together all three of their studio albums — Life Full of Holes (1995), Swinger 500 (1998), and Fly High Brave Dreamers (2007) — in one carefully remastered collection.
This box set is a landmark release for fans of the duo, as it marks the first-ever vinyl pressings of Life Full of Holes and Fly High Brave Dreamers, while presenting Swinger 500 as a double vinyl set for the first time. Each album has been remastered specifically for vinyl at Master & Servant in Hamburg, and all three LPs are housed in gatefold sleeves, accompanied by a large-format brochure featuring unreleased photographs, extensive liner notes, and rare bonus tracks.
