On the surface, Cannabis Corpse's weed-fueled death metal feels like a gimmicky joke, but upon listening to the titanic collection of masterful riffs that is From Wisdom to Baked, it's clear that these guys aren't messing around. While song titles like "Zero Weed Tolerance" and "With Their Hash He Will Create" might seem more at home on a jam band album, the brutal devastation Cannabis Corpse deliver quickly dispels any notion of lighthearted, stoney fun.
