Jive Records/Legacy Recordings, the catalog division of Sony Music Entertainment, are reissuing nine vinyl titles from international pop icon Britney Spears' best-selling discography.
Britney's first eight studio albums โ ...Baby One More Time (1998), Oops!...I Did It Again (2000), Britney (2001), In the Zone (2003), Blackout (2007), Circus (2008), Femme Fatale (2011) and Britney Jean (2013) will all be repressed on LP alongside the 2004 collection Greatest Hits: My Prerogative (2004).
Taken together, these albums represent a seismic shift in pop music from the end of one millennium to the start of another. Britney's cutting-edge pop collaborations and ever-evolving musical style have made her a cultural icon whose every move has influenced generations. In total, all of these albums peaked within the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 โ with five of them reaching No. 1 โ and have been certified more than 34x platinum-selling by the Recording Industry Association of America. They also boast a total of 20 singles that reached the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100.
With In the Zone, Britney continued to enhance her reputation as a reliable hitmaker, collaborating with Madonna on "Me Against the Music" and winning a Grammy Award for the beloved dance hit "Toxic."
In the Zone peaked only at No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100. "Toxic" peaked atop the charts in eight countries and at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming Spears' first U.S. Top 10 hit since "Oops!... I Did It Again."
