Blondie is an American rock band founded by singer Debbie Harry and guitarist Chris Stein. Covering a wide range of pop music including British Invasion rock, garage rock, disco, reggae, Latin rhythms and hip hop, Blondie was the most commercially successful band to emerge from the New York punk/new wave community. The band achieved several hit singles including 'Denis', 'Call Me', 'Atomic' and 'Heart of Glass' and became known for its eclectic mix of musical styles incorporating elements of disco, pop, rap and reggae, while retaining a basic style like a new golf band.
