Originally released on September 25, 1972, Black Sabbath Vol. 4 stands as one of the band's most powerful and defining records. Recorded at the Record Plant in Los Angeles, the album showcases the riff-driven heaviness and lyrical directness that cemented Black Sabbath — Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward — as titans of heavy rock, featuring several of their most iconic tracks.

This 2021 Super Deluxe Edition from Warner Records takes the experience far beyond the original release, presenting a freshly remastered version of the album alongside previously unreleased studio outtakes and alternate takes from the May 1972 sessions, mixed from 16-track analogue tapes by renowned producer Steven Wilson. Rounding out the package are 16 live tracks captured during the band's UK tour in March 1973, a 40-page book featuring photos, artwork, and liner notes, and a color poster — making this an exceptionally immersive set for any serious Sabbath fan.
