beabadoobee returns with Pylon, her fourth studio album and her most sonically intense work to date. Written on the road and crafted alongside an impressive roster of collaborators — including Hayley Williams, Turnstile's Brendan Yates, Chino Moreno of Deftones, and Pinegrove's Evan Stephens Hall — the record finds Beatrice Laus pushing her sound into new, harder-edged territory while still showcasing the melodic instincts that first won her a devoted global following.
Drawing from classic grunge, midwest emo, and '90s radio rock, Pylon is rawer and more direct than anything in her catalog, fueled by guitar aggression and a lyrical sharpness rooted in resentment, unspoken words, and hard-won self-assurance. It's a confident, righteously pissed-off statement from an artist who has grown from bedroom-pop prodigy into a full-fledged rock force — and isn't afraid to show it.
