Recorded in Berlin during 2015 and 2018, Chen’s compositions seamlessly blend tightly disciplined structures with acoustically wild, idiosyncratic bursts, delivering an experience that is as immersive as it is unpredictable.
This release stands out for its uncompromising sound, rich in implication and nuance, and features unique instrumentation, including Fourses created by Peter Blasser. With an insert showcasing a photograph by Etang Chen and special thanks to collaborators Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø and Iven Chen-Van Dyk, Runt Vigor captures a deeply personal and experimental creative vision.
