Back To Black is Amy Winehouse's 2006 breakthrough, a Grammy-winning record widely regarded as one of the great albums of the 21st century. Produced with Mark Ronson and Salaam Remi, it pairs classic 1960s girl-group and Motown-era soul with a modern, razor-sharp attitude.
Winehouse's smoky, jazz-inflected voice carries songs about heartbreak, addiction, and self-sabotage, delivered with raw honesty and sly wit. From the defiant "Rehab" to the aching title track, Back To Black remains one of the defining breakup albums, and the high point of a singular talent's career.
