grauzone-eisbar
Grauzone - Eisbar (12-Inch Single)

Eisbär is the signature track of Grauzone, the Swiss post-punk band led by brothers Martin and Stephan Eicher. It became a landmark of the early-'80s Neue Deutsche Welle, the German-language new wave movement. The band's career was brief, ending in 1982 after only a handful of concerts and a small run of singles, but this song became their most recognizable work.

The music sits at the crossroads of its transitional era, with the raw energy of punk, the daring of early electronics, and a warm, disco-tinged groove. A remarkable bassline anchors the track, while the fragile, dreamlike lyrics were inspired by a nightmare of talking polar bears. Saxophone and a cool, detached vocal add to the atmosphere, making Eisbär a lasting favorite for fans of post-punk and new wave.

Handling Time Note: ** Please allow an additional 4-5 business days for this item's shipment. **

Format: Vinyl

Label: We Release Whatever The Fuck We Want Records

Genre: Electronic, Rock

Release Date: 04/26/2019

Remember, for our lowest prices, always order directly from Joco Records!

TRACKS

A.
